Mental Health Awareness

Teen Start is raising awareness about Mental Health in African American Communities in Central and Northeast Ohio. Mental health issues among African American youth in Central and Northeast Ohio are a significant concern. According to recent studies, African American youth experience more significant barriers to accessing mental health services than any other group in Ohio. These barriers include a lack of insurance coverage, financial constraints, and stigma related to mental health.

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues in African American communities and providing youth services in Central and Northeast Ohio. We aim to provide resources and support for African American youth and their families struggling with mental health issues.

Our Goal

We believe that mental health is a crucial aspect of overall health and well-being, and we strive to raise awareness about the importance of mental health care in African American communities.
